West Midlands Casualty Reduction Scheme (WMCRS) began in October 2002 (as West Midlands Casualty Reduction Partnership) as part of the National Safety Camera Programme. The Scheme is currently operated by West Midlands Police, as part of the West Midlands Road Safety Partnership, and funded by West Midlands Police Authority.
