Great Roads, Great Rides

For the 2007 International Motorcycle and Scooter Show at the NEC near Birmingham, the West Midlands Casualty Reduction Scheme joined forces with the Highways Agency and road safety partnerships from across the Midlands region to raise awareness of road safety issues among bikers.

Our stand featured a hard-hitting reconstruction to warn bikers of the potential dangers on the region's roads, while visitors to the stand could learn more about Bike Guard, the metal panel attached to upright posts on the central reservation in order to reduce serious injuries to bikers. Copies of the Highways Agency DVD "Great Roads, Great Rides" were available on the stand. To learn more about the DVD, click here.
