Bike Show 2008: 2008

For the 2008 International Motorcycle and Scooter Show at the NEC near Birmingham, the West Midlands Casualty Reduction Scheme joined forces with the Highways Agency and road safety partnerships from across the Midlands region to raise awareness of road safety issues among bikers.

Our stand promoted the Think Bike campaign, highlighting signs that are being installed on roads throughout the region to warn bikers, as well as car drivers, to potential dangers. The signs are already in use on some of the more popular biking routes in the Midlands. Click here to download a map of the existing routes.

Copies of the Highways Agency DVD "Great Roads, Great Rides" were available on the stand and visitors could sign up to get a free copy of "Great Roads, Great Rides II" when it is released in early 2009. To learn more about the DVD, click here.
