FREE Camera Location CD ROM.
17 Oct 2005

Re-launched at the 2005 International Motor Cycle and Scooter Show.

BIKER ENTHUSIASTS, Global Media and Trader Buyers attending the UK's premier motorcycle exhibition will be streets ahead of the rest and among the first to receive a FREE Camera Location CD ROM developed by the Midlands Safety Camera Partnerships (MSCPs).

The redeveloped CD ROM is packed with essential road user information and contains the accurate locations of fixed, mobile and red light safety cameras within the East and West Midlands – historic, site specific collision data and simple, interactive animations demonstrating how the cameras work. Simply load the FREE CD ROM onto your computer and automatically view the most up-to-date camera location data. These are just a few of the practical features on the new and improved CD ROM.

To claim your FREE Camera Location CD ROM visit the MSCP at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre (NEC), stands T171 (main stand) and T180 between the 29th October to the 6th November 2005.

The MSCPs attendance at the 2004 International Motor Cycle and Scooter Show was successful in attracting visitors to its interactive, engaging and educational stand and 2005 promises to be even better. Realistic effects, static props, documentary style video footage and the use of street-scene back-drops vividly demonstrate the aftermath of a motorcycle collision. Visitors to the stand will learn more about the potential consequences of excessive or inappropriate speeds on UK roads. The design of the stand is targeted at motorcyclists who are greater risk of death or serious injury than any other road users, and although bikers make only half as many trips as car drivers – they are 50 times more likely to be killed or seriously injured.*

Alison Richards, from MSCP, said:

"Within the glitz and glamour of the bike show the MSCPs presentation is designed to encourage bikers to reflect on the consequences of not weighing-up the risk versus the buzz that comes with riding powerful machines. Bikers can use safety camera sites to their advantage as a warning that they're entering a high risk zone that indicates speeding related collisions have occurred and that they should moderate their speed."
